Instructional Systems Designer III

Resonate is hiring a part-time ISD to support a customer in Orlando, Florida, either on-site or virtually.  Though this is initially a part-time position, it may grow into full-time supporting other projects and company initiatives at Resonate. Applicants located in or near Orlando are preferred, but we will consider anyone who is willing to travel to Orlando on a periodic basis.

You will be…

  • Creating scenarios for medical simulations, including designing interactions and conveying them via scripts and storyboards
  • ​Independently planning and conducting research for medical simulations
  • Planning and conducting needs analyses
  • Writing needs analyses and research reports
  • Working effectively with all levels of customer management and the end user; with developers and graphic designers
  • Participating in daily/weekly conference calls with the customer, or working onsite with the customer

As a Resonate ISD, you may also:

  • Participate in brainstorms to develop concepts and solutions for proposals and current projects
  • Write blog posts and white papers
  • Design mobile apps, simulations, microlearning, and performance support solutions
  • Write video scripts and create storyboards
  • Design assessment and evaluation strategies

Requirements

  • 5 years’ experience as an ISD
  • Experience conducting needs analyses
  • Experience designing simulations, preferably in the medical field
  • Experience supporting the federal government, preferably the DoD
  • Ability to independently plan and conduct extensive research, including but not limited to interviews, surveys, and literature reviews
  • Advanced critical thinking and writing skills: ability to review a large amount of complex information, distill and organize it, and convey concepts clearly and concisely in written format
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines, work independently, and work well with a virtual team
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Extremely detail oriented
  • Positive, entrepreneurial, get-it-done attitude
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel to the Orlando area, if not located in Orlando
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Eligibility for security clearance
  • Ability to pass a standard background check

  • M.Ed. in Instructional Systems Design, Instructional Technology, or closely related field
  • TS Clearance
