Project Manager (Training-related Projects)

Resonate’s project manager will be responsible for planning, managing, and tracking multiple training projects, managing teams, and establishing and maintaining relationships with customers and teaming partners. This is a full-time and permanent position.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience managing complex training and human performance projects.
    Government contracting project management experience strongly preferred.
    Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
    Advanced degree preferred.
  • Understand and apply instructional design knowledge.
    Instructional design background or experience strongly preferred.
  • Understand and apply knowledge of project life cycle and change management processes.
  • Be willing to learn and grow as a leader in the instructional design and government contracting communities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, writing skills, and communication skills are required.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • The ability to pass a standard background check.
  • Eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and ensure teams adhere to internal project processes and procedures.
  • Ensure projects are on schedule and within budget.
  • Effectively manage each project, as well as team dynamics (some team members may be virtual), and individual performance of team members.
  • Develop and maintain project management plans, quality assurance plans, risk management plans, etc.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships and effective communication with the program manager, the project team members, subject matter experts, external team members, and customers.
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience, anticipating and exceeding customers’ expectations.
  • Manage teaming arrangements with prime contractors and/or subcontractors.
  • Write and maintain status reports and ensure on-time completion and quality of work for all contractual requirements.
  • Lead multiple project teams, hold regular project team meetings, and ensure proper timekeeping practices.
  • Review and provide training-related feedback on deliverables.
  • Coordinate and manage resources to meet the needs of the project team.

Instructional Systems Designer

Resonate’s instructional designers are responsible for the bulk of the work we do. We are looking for instructional designers who are experienced, independent, and very creative. Our solutions are all custom, so we’re looking for those who can think outside the box and who thoroughly understand adult learning theory, can independently conduct analyses and evaluations and write deliverables for them, and who can effectively communicate with the project managers, graphic designers, and developers. This is a full-time and permanent position.

Requirements:

  • 5 years’ experience as an ISD leading the design and development of training and performance support solutions.
  • Master’s degree in instructional design, instructional technology, education, or closely related field.
  • Experience supporting the Federal government as an instructional designer, preferably DoD customers.
  • Exceptional time management, organizational skills, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and grow as an instructional designer and as a leader in the instructional design community.
  • Exceptional work ethic.
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Extremely detail-oriented.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently plan and conduct extensive research to solve complex problems, including but not limited to interviews, surveys, and literature reviews.
  • Review a large amount of complex information, distill and organize it, and convey concepts clearly and concisely in a written or visual format.

  • Design level I – IV IMI interactions for courseware and deployable simulations.
  • Develop and refine frameworks, storyboards, flow diagrams, templates, video scripts, and prototypes.
  • Conceptualize and write blog posts and white papers.
  • Support business development and proposal writing.

Technical Writers with XML and S1000D Experience

Resonate Learning is seeking multiple, experienced Technical Writers with XML and S1000D experience for full-time positions for a 12-month contract (with the potential for additional work):

Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience:
    • Organizing and writing highly technical content and operating procedures.
    • XML programming and S1000D-compliant documents per DoD schema.
    • Troubleshooting issues surrounding the display and publication of source material.
    • Using software tools (such as FrameMaker, Acrobat Pro, ArborText Editor, Eagle EPS) to write interactive electronic technical manuals (IETMs).
    • Working in a front-end software development setting.
  • Advanced critical thinking and writing skills required to independently write and/or review a large amount of complex, technical information and convey concepts clearly and concisely in written format.
  • Experience interpreting and complying with DoD instructions and standards for technical writing and applying consistent format and style requirements.
  • Experience independently collecting and interpreting source data from multiple sources, and validating accuracy and completeness of content.
  • The ability to communicate with a graphic artist what visuals are needed and what media format is required. These visuals need to be well designed from a training perspective.
  • Experience interfacing with training professionals, subject matter experts, and programmers to ensure technical content effectively allows the user of the documents to successfully complete the task the first time.
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university.

Technical Editor

Resonate Learning is seeking an experienced Technical Editor for a full-time position for a 12-month contract (with the potential for additional work):

Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Technical Editor.
  • Advanced critical thinking and writing skills needed to independently review a large amount of complex information and convey concepts clearly and concisely in written format.
  • Experience editing Navy interactive electronic technical manuals (IETMS).
  • Experience using IETM publishing software.
  • Experience reviewing and ensuring accuracy, quality, and proper sequence of highly technical content.
  • The ability to ensure consistency of style and format requirements, as well as adherence to DoD standards.
  • Experience interfacing with subject matter experts, engineers, technical writers, and programmers.
  • Willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities.
  • A bachelor’s degree from accredited university.
  • The ability to consistently meet deadlines.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • The ability to pass a standard background check and be eligible for a security clearance.

Virtual Assistant

Resonate Learning’s Virtual Assistant will be responsible for setting up and maintaining systems for increased efficiency and organizing the digital aspects of the company. We are looking for candidates who have exceptional writing and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, excellent time management skills, and the confidence to lead a small team to independently follow the systems that are established. This is a full-time and permanent position.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ as a virtual assistant.
    Experience supporting multiple points of contact in one company is strongly preferred.
  • MUST be an exceptional writer.
    Technical writing skills strongly preferred.
    Writing sample will be requested prior to the interview.
  • MUST be reliable, independent, and resourceful.
    Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.
  • While this position is virtual, flex time will be minimal. Work hours are 9am-5pm Eastern M-F.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Ability to pass a standard background check.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Review existing systems to optimize organization, communication, and time management; interview employees to determine changes needed and create systems that increase efficiency.
  • Organize, optimize, and maintain the company’s cloud storage and other cloud-based software systems (project management, communication, CRM, sales, etc.)
  • Manage the company calendar.
  • Ensure timely data entry into the appropriate software/tools for project management, task management, CRM, and sales tools.
  • Create and manage invoices and other business documents such as non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, etc.
  • Conduct travel planning and booking.
  • Create itineraries for employee travel.
  • Collect and process reimbursement forms.
  • Track and approve timekeeping and personal time off requests.
  • Write and post job descriptions, collect and organize resumes, and set up interviews.
  • Conduct internet research and market research frequently for a variety of topics and uses – research may include anything from finding a reseller of a software we need to use, to finding the best training available on a topic for an employee, to researching and designing our customer journey, to the best keywords and hashtags for use on the blog and social media for a specific topic.
  • Write new or modify existing presentations, briefings, and other company marketing materials and internal communication.
  • Write and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), most of which are in draft form.
  • Proofread emails, deliverables, newsletters, and other documents when quick turnaround is needed or quality assurance POC is not available.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships and effective communication with the executive team and program and project managers.
  • Assist with email management.
  • Assist with event planning.
  • Assist with company philanthropy efforts and employee volunteer opportunities.
