How We Do It

We follow an iterative and agile approach to the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate) model of training development. We also apply a user-centered design approach to ensure we effectively identify and anticipate the needs of specific customers. This approach results in training and performance support that is intuitive, interactive, and useful at the time of need. 

We strive to develop meaningful, intuitive solutions that are easy to update and adapt to ever-changing technology and threat environments. Each solution is developed to integrate and reside where you need it to. There is no subscription or software to purchase – you own the solution.

Here’s how we approach the design and development of training and performance support:

1. Analyze and Observe

We conduct a rapid analysis to determine the knowledge gaps, performance issues, needs and preferences of the specific users, design approach, and understand the hosting and technology requirements. If performance support is needed, when training exists as it often does with new equipment or technology, we observe the training and work with instructors and SMEs to determine the content and approach.

2. Design and Develop

We provide detailed recommendations in a Design Document and storyboard the content to include media (illustrations, photos, videos, 3D models, etc) that will be created and work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure accuracy. Once you approve the content and media, our team of instructional designers, graphic designers, 3D modelers, video production specialists, and/or software developers go to work to develop the solution. Prototype solutions are provided during development for the purposes of feedback, usability testing, and/or end-user evaluation.

3. Evaluate and Implement

We evaluate both training and performance support to ensure it is intuitive to use and effective in changing individual behavior or improving performance, and has the intended impact on the organization. We document and integrate customer and user feedback throughout the design and development process, as well as during the evaluation phase. Finally, we coordinate with the customer and technology specialists that we talked to during the analysis to quickly transition the solution to the hosting platform or enterprise architecture.

4. Deliver Results

We pride ourselves in being agile and able to scale-up to work at the speed of need by leveraging strong partnerships with SMEs, technology experts, support personnel, small businesses, and large corporations. We have completed custom projects as quickly as 6 days when solutions needed to be deployed immediately. We typically deliver performance support in under 12 weeks following the analysis. In-depth training and complex content, graphics, 3D models, and/or simulations take up to twelve months, depending on the complexity and length of the training.
